Process piping
Process piping Process piping is the network of pipes that carries products, raw materials, cleaning agents and utilities between equipment in a plant. In the food and cosmetics industries, it has to meet strict hygiene requirements. Process piping is made of stainless steel, joined by welding or with special hygienic fittings, and designed without dead legs, meaning places where product collects and is not flushed out during cleaning. The pipes also need the right slope so they can be drained
System integrator
System integrator A system integrator is a company or engineering team responsible for designing and building a complete production solution (a line, a workstation or a production cell) tailored to the client’s process, product and business goals. In a typical project, the equipment comes from many different manufacturers: pumps from one, tanks from another, heat exchangers from a third and controllers from a fourth. Each supplier is responsible only for their own component. Someone has to design everything so it
Process installation
Process installation Everything needed to make a product in a plant: machines, tanks, pumps, piping, valves, sensors and the control system that runs it all. A single machine is not yet an installation. It becomes one only when a set of equipment is connected so that together it carries out the entire process, e.g. from receiving raw materials to filling bottles. Example: A dairy wants to produce drinking yoghurt. A bottle filling machine on its own is not enough. It
