Hygienic design is a design approach that aims to minimize the risk of product contamination and ensure high standards of hygiene, especially in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and medical industries. A key aspect of hygienic design is the design of machines, equipment and infrastructure in such a way that they can be easily cleaned, maintained and controlled for sanitation.
Hygienic design is about ensuring that equipment and processes are safe, reliable and meet regulatory requirements for hygiene and health safety.
Hygienic connections in industrial installations, especially in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, must meet certain requirements to ensure the safety of processes and products.
What are their characteristics?
👉 Smooth internal surfaces, i.e. free from roughness, burrs and micro-damage to avoid contamination and facilitate cleaning processes
👉 No “dead” spaces where there is a risk of contamination
👉 Materials in contact with the raw material/product comply with hygiene standards ensuring cleaning effectiveness
👉 Easy assembly and disassembly facilitating inspection, maintenance and cleaning
👉 Resistance to corrosion and cleaning agents and chemicals used in food and pharmaceutical production
👉 Appropriate seals approved for contact with food, resistant to high temperatures and cleaning agents
👉 Welded joints in accordance with standards, without porosity and shortcomings
👉 Compliance with standards and certificates such as the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group or the Food and Drug Administration.
All these features are crucial to ensuring the cleanliness and safety of production processes and preventing product contamination.

Thanks to the Raven 13 team game, based on the principles of gamification (i.e. using mechanisms known from games in the learning process), we were able to experience working in an Agile environment in practice.

By choosing to work with WiZARTEC®, you are choosing safety, comprehensiveness and experience. Thanks to the synergy of technological solutions that we – WiZARTEC® – provide, and industrial automation implemented by iPS Control®, we can offer complete and integrated design services in one place.

We are pleased to announce that during the FOODFORUM 2025 conference, organized in Uniejów, our representatives Paulina Grugiel and Marzena Miszczak will be among the speakers.

In industrial installations, especially in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, it is crucial to use materials that meet rigorous hygiene requirements.

Before the Client can enjoy a timely and efficiently operating installation, we assemble and ruthlessly test the whole thing on our premises.

Hygienic and aseptic devices differ in their level of protection against production contamination.

Dead zones in industrial installations are areas where the flow of liquids or gases is negligible or non-existent.

In the context of the pet food industry, the issue of hygienic design, or Hygienic Design, is becoming extremely important.
